This program is for ages 11+. Week 1 + 2 covers history and culture of street art and what it means to be a WRITER. Students create their own name and signature. Basics of lettering are taught on paper and can techniques are taught as student completes final project covering a 4X8 plywood board. ASTRO provides paint, plywood, and protective masks for each student. This class must be held outdoors. Fall, Spring, and Summer sessions available. The 6-10 week program meets once or twice per week for two to three hours. The ASTROcurricular approach is results driven with a curriculum designed to increase the number of participants setting and achieving program related goals. Each student is evaluated on their comprehension of learning objectives. ASTRO Writing program is aligned with common core and can be offered as an Expanded Learning Opportunity (ELO).
